The mission of the Bay View Association is to promote Christian values and traditions to enrich families living in Bay View. It does this through seasonal religious, educational, and recreational programs, including activities such as tennis and sailing.

The sailing program is hosted at the organization’s popular Day Camp every summer. In the program, children ages nine and above get a chance to learn how to sail from an experienced U.S. Sailing Certified instructor. The sailing program complies with the U.S. Sailing Instructor curriculum.

The program boasts of a fleet of boats including Sunfish, Harpoon, and Lido. Sailors on these boats receive instructions at different levels depending on their expertise.

All through the season, the sailing program offers two group lessons per day: on weekdays from 1 to 3 p.m. and from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sailors in need of private lessons may schedule them outside the group lesson time or during the weekend, depending on the availability of sailing instructors.
