About William Schuiling

After studying business at the University of Neuchatel in Switzerland and Albion College in Michigan, William E. Schuiling earned his bachelor of science from Michigan State University in East Lansing and his master of business administration from Wayne State University in Albion. William Schuiling began his 45-year involvement with the Brown Automotive Group, LTD, in 1970, when he accepted a sales manager position at Brown Pontiac in Arlington, Virginia.

After accepting a series of promotions over the years, William E. Schuiling ultimately purchased the Brown Automotive Group, retaining the Brown name due to its positive brand-name recognition among the general public. Since that time, Mr. Schuiling has grown the organization into the largest privately owned automotive retailer in the Mid-Atlantic United States. The Brown Automotive Group currently supports dozens of regional automotive dealerships, including Brown’s Jaguar in Richmond, Virginia; Brown Mercedes-Benz in Charlottesville, Virginia; and Brown’s Honda City in Glen Burnie, Maryland.
